Just Made It!

It’s 11:50pm, which means I made this post in just enough time to have it considered my Wednesday post! *phew* I was a little worried I wouldn’t make it here today. I took a nap after dinner today, hubby was out doing some important work, so the allure of the silence and the rain splattering on my window knocked me out on the couch. When I woke up it was past 8pm! Then, I tried watching American Idol, only to find out no one got voted off. What’s that all about? That show just gets weirder each year.

On the other hand, I had an appointment with CP and friend, Miranda Heart, tonight. She was going to browbeat, *cough* I mean, encourage me to write the next chapter of my WIP which has been giving me a wicked hard time. I’m taking a quick break from it right now actually, to get this up for the day. It’s going rather well. I’ve written about 2 pages thus far, and although it’s a bit slow coming, it hasn’t hit midnight yet. ;) We all know how crazed I get after midnight. So I’m not worrying about it.

On another equally exciting note, I have discovered the magic that is Rhapsody. I don’t know if I mentioned this, but I recently got cable modem. GOODBYE DIAL-UP! As part of the package, the cable company provided me with 25 free songs a month, and all the free radio play I want. And some of Rhapsody’s stations are INCREDIBLE. I listened to New Age all afternoon. And tonight, for inspiration, I’ve been rocking the Baroque station. Ha! You didn’t know you could jam to classical music, but you sure can. I’m in love with it now. The radio is on all day. If you’ve never checked it out, give it a listen. It’s worth it.
Funny story. There’s this substitute teacher at the school I work at, he’s quite handsome, but obviously very uptight and serious. I watch him sometimes, because he amuses me and reminds me of the guy from the Campbell’s soup commercial, the one who leans back in the chair and drinks from the cup and then falls backwards! Either way, he’s just much needed eye candy at such a generally bland place. Anyway, for some reason, today he was filling in for the secretary upstairs and when I went to sign in, he actually looked at me and smiled, which totally caught me off guard, cause the guy totally keeps to himself. But, hey, I smiled back. No funny business, just a genuine smile. ;) It was really weird, because he went from being this character in my head to a real person. Hubby says I characterize way too many people. I think he might be right. I’m strange, I know, sorry.
Anyway, it’s hump day! YAY! Finally. Only two days left for the weekend. Won’t lie to you, I’m anxiously awaiting it.
