Friday= Crunch Time

So, I’ve got about 10 minutes before hubby gets here and beeps at me so we can leave for the Cape. Um… I’m not totally done packing. What are you doing here blogging then? (you’re probably asking). Well, heck, i didn’t wanna leave without saying goodbye! 🙂

It’s a pretty long drive, so we’re gonna just grab some fast food along the way. I am SO excited about this vacation. I need it badly. Those kids at school sometimes drive me nuts. Today, for example… can I just say schools should NEVER ever serve syrup? Yea, that’s the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard. Let’s give syrup to a bunch of kindergarden and first graders. Who get it all over their clothes and hands. One kid’s fingers were completely stuck together!!! And then they insist on touching you! Ewww…

I’m like, if you’re gonna serve French Toast, just put the syrup on the toast, don’t make them do it. It was quite a mess once it was all said and done. The 6th graders were generally under control, mainly because half of the classes were on a field trip. Of course, all of the naughty kids don’t get to go, so we were blessed with their presence in the cafeteria. They weren’t too happy, but at least they weren’t rowdy.

I didn’t get much writing done today, due to my time restraint. But I’m bringing a notebook with me on the drive and to the Cape so that I can write as the muse hits. She love the Cape. So I know she’ll be telling me all sorts of stories. I just hope to get them down on paper. There are two scenes I have in mind for my current WIP, if I can write those this weekend, I may be able to regain my writing streak when I get back. This week I’ve been struggling through a stupid dinner scene which is finally taking shape to be what it should be. Now, I have to move on and my brain is fried. So yea, vacation=good.

I hope you all have a great weekend! I’ll check up on you all when I get back, ok? Happy FRIDAY!
