In Good News

I’m feeling less self-pitying. Bah, I hate those miserable spells of “everythingsucks”. It’s no fun. And I make everyone around me pretty miserable too. Hubby has a name for the mood. He calls it “whomp, whomp”. It’s meant to be a sound effect, along the vein of Debbie Downer, the SNL skit. If you’ve never seen it…

It’s actually absolutely hilarious.

Hysterical laughter aside, I’ve gotten some work done, finally! I’m nearly 30% through my 100k novel. 🙂 That I’m very excited about! The chapters are coming along, though slow and a bit far in between. But they’re coming. Have to try and stay positive about it. If I obsess, I tend to just think the whole MS should be flushed down the toilet or set on fire. *whomp, whomp* LOL. Sorry, couldn’t help it!

I also got to CH. 4 of my edits for FB. Which is good. I’m moving along at a steady pace. I want to have it done in the next two weeks. That’s my goal. Let’s see if I can stick with it. 🙂

It is the weekend and I’m glad to say I will be going to see my grandmother in NY and my cousin from my father’s side of the family, who is graduating from college this weekend. We’re going to throw a huge party. I miss them, haven’t seen them in over a year, so this is going to be a fun get together.

I’m actually packing right now, or should be finishing up anyway, so I just wanted to drop in and give notice of where I am and what I’m doing. Enjoy the weekend guys.

  1. That SNL skit was soooo funny! I understand though – sometimes I get in those Debbie Downer moods too. 😉
