Monday Plans

Ohhh, it’s Monday. Usually, I’d be groaning. Or shrugging. Mondays are one of those days that I can kind of either take or leave, you know? Depending on the type of Sunday I had before it, Mondays don’t mean much of anything to me. Except this week!

Monday is bringing some very exciting things my way. For starters, I’m finally changing webhosts. I know I kept telling you guys about my issues with Geocities. Yea, I’m not even going to go into detail, because, overall, I was just really disappointed. I mean, you figure, as big as Yahoo is, they could afford to have good service. It wasn’t horrible, but the glitches just really tick me off. I don’t like it when I can’t get into my own ‘dashboard’ area and work on my page. But I digress… today is a day of good news. 😀 So yea, I’m moving. And finally getting set up with WordPress, which from what I hear, is like heaven’s answer to the internet. We’ll see. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure it all out. I’m a bit technologically challenged.

My WIP is now over 35k!!!! AHHH! Sorry, had to get that out. Finally. I’m so excited. I really like what’s happening there. The progress is slow, but steady. So that’s a good thing.

And next Tuesday, is the qualifying night for the karaoke competition I was telling you all about. I’m terrified and excited all at once. I know I can really bring it home, but my nerves sometimes get the best of me. So I have to just suck it up and be AMAZING. *crosses fingers* I should go practice. 😉

Happy Monday peeps!

  1. Congrats on that 35k!! So I take it you’re excited about that karaoke competition? 😉 I hope you get some pictures from that!

  2. Oh, I absolutely plan to! 😀 And although I’m excited, I think the absolute terror is a bit more pronounced right now. lol Maybe I’ll even have video. *crosses fingers* Youtube rocks.

  3. I used to have websites with Geocities when they first started back in the 90s. Good service back then. But once they joined other services, well, they screwed up everything. Who’s your new provider? I’m now using one which I pay $36 a year but it’s awesome. Heh! Worth every penny! As for WordPress, I tried to buy into the hoopla and got an account just for giggles. So far it’s a bitch to work, and you have to have knowledge of CSS to set it all up. I tried to find a one of those pre-made templates and tweak it, but so far it has proven to be a pain in the butt. I think I’ll stick with Blogger for a while longer. So far I’ve never had problems with it. Heh!Hey, congrats on reaching the 35K mark! Good luck on the karaoke competition! *wg* Yeah, I know all about nerves when getting onstage to perform. Heh! I used to wear sunglasses so I could close my eyes and see the public. Yeah, me chicken! HAHAHA!

  4. Haven’t changed yet, Tempest. I was going to go with BlueHost. I’ve heard good things about them. Yea, that’s what I’m sort of afraid of, with WordPress. That I’ll make a huge mess of everything. You know? Not making any sudden moves just yet. I’m trying to weigh it all out first. Make sure I don’t lose everything. Hmm… sunglasses. Not a bad idea! 😀
