Is that Antarctica?

I’ve been trying to put it off but now it seems inevitable. The time has come. I need a new fridge. I can’t really complain about my current one. She’s been pretty faithful. She was here before we moved in, a good five years or more I believe, and lasted me another three. But now, it’s time to let her go. Which means starting up another emergency savings.

Hmm… the list for emergency savings keeps going up. We’ve got the busted Central Air system, which will probably cost me my firstborn child. Now, the fridge. The stove is next to go. I think it’s older than the fridge is. You ever seen The Money Pit? Yea, that’s my place. Tons of potential, but previous owners have left this place in shambles. And all my plans on making it shine require money I don’t have. It doesn’t help that I’m saving money to get a new wardrobe because since my weight loss, nearly 40lbs, I don’t even have a pair of jeans that fit me.

The other night I had on a pair, sat down, and when I stood up, they were riding underneath my butt cheeks. *blushes* Thankfully no one spotted me or they would have gotten more than what they bargained for. 😉

On another note, I just realized that about 15k of what I’ve written in my WIP won’t work. *sigh* Yea, I know. Sucks. I have to change the plot in that half of the story all together. I have to up the ante, give them a resolution, and face off the villain… otherwise, there’s just a lot of talking and tension that leads nowhere. Oy vey. My head hurts just thinking about it.

  1. OMG, todays art is gorgeous. I love winter scenes, particularly ones that have that “night time” look.

Hang in there with the wip. I hate having to cut huge chunks out of my stuff, but it happens with every book. Just save the parts you can’t use in a folder. Sometimes you can go back and use snippets of it for a different book.
