It’s Monday night and the countdown to my anniversary has begun. Hubby and I will be celebrating our fourth this Thursday. Can you believe it? Four years. They’ve flown by. We’re going away for a week, which will be nice. With everything going on, I could use some fresh air and a swimming pool to work out my anxieties.
For the first time this year, due to my steady job, I was able to get hubby a real gift. Not a homemade dinner. Or a card. But something he’s actually been asking for. It’s so fulfilling to be able to do that! Makes those long days at work worth it. He won’t tell me what he’s gotten me yet. I’m dying of curiosity. I haven’t really asked for anything, though now, I wish I had. I could really use an e-reader. Ha ha.
I’m proud to announce that I finished my contemporary paranormal/sci-fi romance novella. It clocked in at about 32k. Ten chpts and an epilogue. The thing about this piece is that it was my side project. I always dabbled on it when my other projects weren’t going anywhere or when I was feeling really blue, because it was a pretty emotional piece. And then all of a sudden – BAM – it’s finished. Unbelievable. I’ll have to get on to another side project. Or actually finish my WIP. *snort*
Here’s the banner my good friend Mary made for the story. Isn’t it STUNNING?
We’re having some seriously aggressive thunderstorms up here in New England. The endless rain makes me so sleepy, so I’m going to go lie down, dwell on my WIP, and listen to my mp3 player for a while.
How was your Monday?
